"We're havin' a heat wave...a tropical heat wave..."

Yikes...it's HOT around here! Dangerously hot and no end in sight!
Yesterday I spent about a half an hour working in the garden...just harvesting some green beans and squash and I almost died! Tom worked on installing irrigation...he was wiped out by the time he got home and has gone back this morning. I am praying that he is safe...he's not as young as he used to be.
Last night was family dinner. It has been interesting lately because I have noticed that I haven't been as focused on food and what I eat. It appears that I have finally reached the "auto-pilot" mode of doing LC. I seem to be able, instinctively, to know what I can eat and what I am just not going to eat. Sometimes, I'll take a bite of something HC but that's it...I know that I am not going to eat a serving and it is no problem. It used to be that every meal I would have to assess the situation and consiously decide what to put on my plate...now, I don't have to think about it!
I would say that the only struggle that I have is potentially overeating "legal" food like nuts and fruit w/whipped cream. So far...it hasn't resulted in an weight gain and for that, I am thankful.
I am holding at 150lbs even during TOM. Yesterday, I tried on some shorts! They didn't look so bad and I thought, "Can I pull these off?" I decided to buy them along with a couple of t-shirts. It felt good to be trying on a couple of sizes smaller than 6 months ago and I was pretty satisfied with what the mirror reflected. I would still love to lose another 5-10 pounds but I am not going to stress about it. If I can hold onto the weight loss that I have accomplished already through our vacation next month...I will be VERY happy.
Well, everyone, stay cool and stay positive!
