Original Start Weight: 276
New Start Weight Sept 2008: 240

I went from 276 to 226 in late 2006 to early 2007. 50 lbs down! Woohoo! But then I stopped for reasons unknown, and about 14 lbs crept back up in a year and a half. I restarted September 2008 so I can finish this thing!

I checked the scales and I lost 2 more lbs this morning!!

I'm enjoying it while I can because I know it will become more steady as I progress!

So today was the last protein only day. Now I can add fruits, veggies, and a little grain to my diet tomorrow. Woohoo!! Now I haven't put in a lot of variety in the last few days, and I'm not eating clean. I know LFL promotes low cal and a less fat, but I'm doing what feels right until it stops working for me. Here's yesterday's food:

B - 4 slices turkey bacon
S - 5 slices deli honey turkey
L - 4 oz turkey smoked sausage & a slim jim
S - slim jim (sorry, I love them!)
D - 4 oz bacon-flavored spam, 1 vienna sausage, 1 tbsp miracle whip

1215 calories... 12 carbs

Okay, so it was pretty processed yesterday and I KNOW the miracle whip wasn't allowed, but I felt justified in doing it. We'll see if I pay later.

I'm also in ketosis according to the ketosticks, so I'm good to go for the rest of the week! My only concern is my MIL called and told my husband that we're having the family get-together this weekend. We have one once a month and it's for that month's birthday people. I'm August, as you might already know. Granny's bringing an ICE CREAM CAKE!!! She wanted to make sure I would eat it. Usually, I'd tell her no when I'm eating low-carb (REALLY!!!) but I've been begging them to get me an ice cream cake for a few YEARS now! So I WILL eat it. Don't try to talk me out of it. I checked it out and a slice will be 35-55 carbs. I'll take my food scale and make sure I don't make the slice too big. I'll also not eat the fruits and veggies allowed in order to keep my carb count next to zero. I know I'm cheating and it might mess me up. I also know I'm rationallizing. We'll see how much I cry next week. I hope my plan works.

Wishing you guys continued success!
