Gah! Saying this here, cos if I say it in the Lobby I'll start a fight! People if you say "I'm doing Atkins and I'm not losing" and then go on to describe some bats**t crazy stuff that resembles Atkins like I resemble Kate bloody Moss, then newsflash! You're not doing Atkins. Describe it as "my bats**t crazy plan" if you want to, but stop calling it Atkins.

Atkins is customisable of course, but within parameters. There comes a point when you get outside of those and you are no longer doing Atkins. If that's working for you, then great! Keep it up! Publish a book about your bats**t crazy plan, I might buy it. But if it's not working, don't claim that Atkins is not working for you when you're not bloody doing it!

Look, the plan as described in the book worked for hundreds of thousands of people. It includes tweaks that worked on a good enough percentage of people to make them worth including in the book. That means that the plan and any of the tweaks you need to try are statistically very likely to work for you, if you actually follow them. Or do you think you are such a special little snowflake? If so, get over yourself.

If you say you do Atkins, then do Atkins, customised within parameters, using any needed tweaks as advised in the book. But don't come along claiming Atkins doesn't work for you until you've actually tried it!

If someone came along and said "I'm taking the coconut oil and it's not making me lose" and then went on to say "well, actually, I didn't like the taste of the coconut oil, so I started drinking olive oil. Help, coconut oil experts, tell me why coconut oil isn't working for me like it does for you!" Obviously, you'd tell them, "er, you're not actually drinking coconut oil..." Same situation!
