Letting go of the Food!
I am learning to stop obsessing over food, I use to constantly eat, nibble on something low carb throughout the day. A piece of cheese at 10am, nuts at 2pm, pork skins at this time and maybe some more cheese later. I was putting something in my mouth all the time, sipping on sugar free drinks, or food. I was tired of up and down weights, up 2 pounds today down 3 tomorrow, up 1 the next, maybe the same for a week, You know how it goes.
I have started to eat only when my stomach growl or when I'm truly hungry. I like eating this way because I know I can eat regular food.
My grocery bill has gone down alot because I'm eating less and buying no special food for me.
I noticed that my daughter eats like this. I fix her a plate of food and she often do not finish it. I ask why and she reply "I'm full mommy". At first I didn't think anything of this and urged her to finish her food. She didn't.
I prayed for God to show his way to weight loss and now I'm following His Plan, not mine.
Thank You LORD for guiding me.

That's some great insight Jan.
I remember the first time someone told me I didn't HAVE to finish everything on my plate despite being full... it was my ex-husband, and he asked me why I was still eating when I was full and I told him because my grandmother says, "Finish what's on your plate, don't waste food." and he said your grandmother didn't buy this food and if you're full you should stop eating and either throw it away or save it for another time when you get hungry. It was a Wow moment for me when he put it that way. |
