Vegans are a subclass of vegetarians.

Vegetarians: Eat no meat, poultry or fish, but might eat eggs or dairy products.

They made up 2% to 3% of U.S. adults in 2003 and 2006 surveys by the Vegetarian Resource Group and
Harris Interactive.

Vegans (pronounced VEE-guns): Eat no meat, poultry, fish, eggs or dairy products. About half of vegetarians described vegan eating habits in the most recent survey.

Mike Robbins was living out his boyhood dreams as a professional baseball player for the Kansas City Royals. Then at the age of 23, he sustained an injury that ended his career but also gave him a fresh new perspective on life.
