I'm Back (again)

(This is a cut and paste from my journal...)
Hmmm, well, it's certainly been a while...10 weeks to be exact. I'm still not smoking (yay me!). I did wind up regaining 6 pounds, but I've dumped them and am starting back down the scales again. I started Couch to 5K in mid-July, I'm up to week 6 this week. I think that's probably had a lot to do with getting my metabolism back from the old smoking days. I'm going to try to be a bit more accountable here, so I need to get back to the boards (lurking mostly, but that still helps me with motivation, etc.).
I'm really really loving the C25K program. Many moons ago I ran 3 miles every day come rain or shine. It's been way too long (there was no way I was even going to try to run while lugging around the extra weight) and I'm soooo pumped about it. I do need to try to figure out how to fit the Curves-type gym back in too. Some toning/resistance training certainly wouldn't hurt-LOL. Trouble is, there's only so many hours in the day {sigh}. I'm going to try the gym in the mornings and see if I can get the running done when I get home from work. I'm sure the dog (see my avatar) will help motivate me to head right back out the door once I get in...;o) However, if one or the other has to fall by the wayside it will be the gym.
If any of this sounds convoluted, I'm writing in between getting some work done (heheh, it IS what they pay me for after all). Anyhow, I think I'll cut it short for now. Might be back later, will try to be for sure!

mhe... what's a decade? hehe ... I think it was 1994-1996 that I ran. Started walking really far distances in 1992.
