Day 1 of getting it right

I have started over on a diet so many times it would be humanly impossible to count. I want to be able to stop thinking about what I eat. I want to be able to be fit and strong and not have thoughts of weight and food consume my day.
I don't know if anyone will ever read this, but I'll pretend like everyone one does and hope that keeps me accountable.
I work out several times a week but I have not watched what I ate for more than 8 hours at a time for the past 3 months. If I stick to low carb consistently, I could probably be at goal in 3 months easily. Does anybody know where I can buy some willpower?
Today was a good day. I am not exactly sure what my weight is, but my best guess is 190. I am 5'9. I always get to 183 quickly on plan (probably within 2-3 days) but then I start to cheat. I am a size 12 right now and would like to be an 8. I can probably do that at between 160-165. 160 is my ultimate goal for wiggle room.
I will check in here daily with my weigh ins and hopefully get it right this time.
