Work out a priority and will work on eating.

Posted 06-10-2009 at 11:40 AM by Flaxman
I've been hitting the gym almost every other day and getting into strength training and the treadmill. I can't honestly say that I have been really committed as far as eating, that is, I still eat what I feel like eating but have been taking a little care.

I think what works with me well is that I need to get into a good work out and once I start doing that and seeing the effects, it will motivate me to bit by bit, cut back on eating naughties. We all know what those are.

I just can't take too much change at once but I love the buzz of working out, feeling stronger and gaining more stamina. When it comes to eating, it's kind of like taking away the one thing which helps me emotionally at times. Just being honest. Maybe that will change when I start seeing the changes physically.

Day 1 continues

I found the ellipticals a little bit intense for now so I went the treadmill way for about 30 minutes (8 minutes of that was a slow warm up) and decided not to do any strength training. Maybe tomorrow or Wednesday I will start to fit that in.

Day 1 June 1 2009

Posted 06-01-2009 at 06:22 AM by Flaxman
This morning I am going to work out at the gym. My hope is to do 20 minutes on the eliptical and maybe another 20-30minutes on strength training machines but we'll see.

I am a little bit intrepid because of battling my asthma but I'll never know unless I go for it which is what I'm doing. It could be a good or bad turnout.

With being sick the last couple of weeks I got down to 350 lbs. from 360 and have stayed there so my goal is to get down to 330 by July 18th. when we go down to the Smoky's.

I will be trying to low carb it but balancing out with Dr. Greg Ellis' program. I'll consider this week 1. Start out with 2500 calories a day, try to maintain a good portion of proteins, fats and carbs but using exercise as a mainstay to trim the fat on my body.
