3 days meat and egg here I come

Posted 08-10-2008 at 11:44 PM by emslight
This week's plan:

3 day's meat and egg and lots of fat (Mon, Tues, Weds)
Continue running
Liver flush Thurs - Fri

I then have a very heavy w.e. coming up with parties on Fri, Sat and Sun. If I don't go into these without a strategy I will seriously mess up so the plan is:

high fat, induction level eating
meals on all 3 evenings before I start to drink
Fri and Sat night - gin and slimlines; Sun night - not too much drinking, just 1 or 2 glasses of champagne with dh to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. From next Mon, it's...

I was right, it did go downhill...

Posted 08-04-2008 at 12:34 AM by emslight
... but I don't mind. I stuck as best to plan as I could and Sat wasn't too bad. I avoided beer, had a few glasses of champagne to start the night then moved onto diet red bull for energy! I took picnic stuff like cooked chicken, ham, cheese, berries but also indulged in some dark chocolate. Then Sun came and I woke up feeling shocking and someone presented me with a fishfinger sandwich and a milky coffee at about 1 pm and by then I just needed food in my system so I wolfed it all down and BOY WAS IT GOOD. The only possible thing I can say that maybe meant it wasn't a complete disaster was...

Tired but getting excited

Posted 08-01-2008 at 02:57 PM by emslight
It's been a long and jam packed day today but on the plus side, I did lots of walking so I can at least tick that box. Ran around like a bit of a nutter getting organised as this w.e. hubby and I are going away... WITHOUT THE KIDS! First time we'll have left little miss rubes (6.5 months). I'm feeling OK about it, in fact, I am getting quite excited about a w.e. off and the chance to let my hair down at a cool festival just outside London. Not sure if I'll be able to stick to plan - I'm just going to do my best but will also enjoy having a few drinks and partying.

So......

Feel terrible today

Posted 07-25-2008 at 12:48 AM by emslight
Not enough sleep. Got to bed at 1, Ruby up at 5.45 am. My head hurts and I feel a bit bloated as we went out for dinnner last night and whilst I stayed on plan, I probably ate a bit too much and I also had 3 large glasses of white wine. Back to clean living today.

On a positive note, I have decided to run London marathon next year. I ran NY marathon a few years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. Since then, I have had 2 little girls and I told myself that I would pick up the running again when Ruby was 6 months, which she is now. So slowly starting the running now with...

Doing okay on the eggs

Posted 07-24-2008 at 12:11 AM by emslight
Yesterdays test: 1 hour after eating eggs a little bit of a rumble in the old belly but nothing nearly as severe as the discomfort I have felt before.

Passed more stones later in the day yesterday. Eggs again for brekker this morning - this time, sweetly scrambled with some cream cheese and cinammon and butter... will report back.

Oh, and before I forget - the most amazing discovery: cooked bacon joint from the rotisserie counter in Asda. This is possibly the yummiest thing I have found. Brought it home and sliced off thick fatty chunks to eat. Hubbie had it in...
