I love egg creams. Oh and booze dilemma.

Posted 05-02-2008 at 02:46 AM by emslight
I get so excited when I wake up in the morning as it means I can eat my egg cream. YUM. I think it's because it's the only sweet thing that I get to eat all day and whilst I've curbed the cravings with this woe there's no denying I still like a bit of sweet.

So this morning I had 2 eggs, 2 oz of cream, dash of dv caramel flavour syrup, co and 2 spoonfuls of flax. Lov-erly. The only thing that would have made it more perfect is half an avocado for extra creaminess. Will do that tomorrow once I buy some more.

I have my school reunion tomorrow. Wish I'd been given...

Coconut oil must be powerful stuff

Posted 05-01-2008 at 04:50 AM by emslight
Been upping my co each day so now at about 3-4 tbsp. Sweet bayjesus this is powerful stuff. Think I've moved up on the amounts too quickly as now feel fairly nauseous. Bah.

I seem to have a crazy big appetite

Posted 05-01-2008 at 12:34 AM by emslight
I read other folks blogs and they eat hardly anything compared to me. An egg cream for breakfast, some chicken for lunch a protein shake for supper. That kind of thing. Me, I have an egg cream for breakfast - made with super filling stuff like heavy cream, coconut oil, spoonful of flax, the works - but it still ain't enough and I'll be hungry again in a few hours. So then I'll eat some protein - maybe a few pieces of cold meat or fish - and a scoop of coconut oil and maybe some cheese and then I think, ooops, shouldn't this have a little bit of carbs in it to balance it as a snack so I have...

i can't get no sleep

Posted 04-29-2008 at 08:30 PM by emslight
typing this with one hand. it's 3 am in the uk. my 4 month old is wide awake and has been for 2 hours. feeding isn't working. neither is the dummy, swing or just plain old walking the room. i've no idea why she's awake as normally she's a good sleeper. i'm wondering if it's a growth spurt or maybe she's starting on a bit of teething. lord knows. half of this is just guess work anyway. these girlies - what with lola living out the terrible twos and ruby wanting to play in the middle of the night - they are all consuming. they take up every second of my day and every second of my thoughts but i...

Time to start a blog

Posted 04-29-2008 at 12:45 AM by emslight
I've been hanging out on this site for a couple of weeks now, since I started induction, and figured, it's about time I kept a blog. Not for anyone else mind, just for me. I want to chart this journey and I need to have a daily log to keep me in check. So, 3 weeks in what's been the story so far.

I've toyed around with doing lc for a good few years now but never got past the first few days of induction which felt like hell because I suffered massive withdrawl. I was a real binge eater before and ate chocolate/sweets almost daily. Managed not to gain huge amounts of weight by...
