My Morning Weight VS Evening WeightThanks for all the replies, I have decided to just stick with the Morning Weight at all times. I dont plan on weighing myself every day either, only once per week.

Friday, July 11, 2008P.S. I forgot to mention also that PORTION CONTROL has been a big part of my allowances for more carbs. So you instinctively had the right idea there!

Friday, July 11, 2008Ok, I'm here and can finally comment now that I've signed up! I kept the same username...nice to see Lynn and Liz have stopped by.
![]() Ok, Elle, I have to reassure you that things aren't as bad as you think. Maintenance is definitely a good sign, for one. And more importantly, I didn't have a chance to tell you how I've had major cravings and had to rethink my WOE bigtime in order to work WITH my needs as opposed to constantly struglging. The good news is, I'm eating more carbs but it's working! I'll try to e-mail you soon but I wanted to reassure you that you CAN change things up, especially if you are fighting how you used to do things and the battle is wearing you down. It's not healthy even if you feel like you're fighting for the right approach in concept, kwim? Don't be afraid to regroup and change up if you need to. Hang in there! <hugs> |

My Morning Weight VS Evening WeightI routinely lose two pounds overnight. It mostly has to do with water as I drink over 3 liters of coffee per day. That's around 6 pounds of water that passes through me every day. Depending on when I go, and when I step on the scale, it can really effect my weight.
As for picking your starting weight, pick a time of day you'll try and weigh yourself every week. I do it in the morning when I get up. Then, all things should be equal, and you'll get a more accurate reading. Best of luck with your journey! |

My Morning Weight VS Evening WeightWater will make the scale fluctuate all day. I weigh in the AM and leave it alone. The scale can drive you crazy. The way your clothes fit is the best way to tell if you are losing weight

FitDay.comThanks for the kind words and feedback on FINALLY finding my way to THREEdom, where I seem to be bOunCing around just under 400# as I bOunCed around just above 400# for so long.
Hitting more fish/egg days seems to be key to my success in shaving off ounces at a time. Slow and steady. *bounce* |

The Recovery ProcessUPS is still challenged to deliver pkgs to this bldg rather than dumping them at the school office. This will be even more of a challenge in August, when the school office closes. I'm told by the mgmt "do not order deliveries during August", as if I am not entitled to have UPS locate this bldg. Grrr-r-r-r
Netrition made good on the lost box from 5/30, sending a 2d delivery that arrived (not sure where UPS dropped it off, but I did call at the crack of dawn on 7/10 to notify them that a delivery was on the truck and that I was hopeful that their delivery guy would make it to my bldg). Pkg showed up, with enough VCO to carry me to Sept. I'm set, I guess, for supplies - even if UPS is told to hold off on stopping at this address until the host has returned from their Aug. retreat. As for that Other LC Place, it turns out that I am doing LOTS better at LCFriends than I did in 18mos at the Other Place, with strange and obscure rules and bizarre behaviors. So, as always, life's ups and downs have forced me to adapt to a change that seemed disasterous and turns out to be good for me. Sigh. |

LC - what's it all about?Asperger's: the IT industry's dark secret hits the nail on the head. Wish I'd gone into tech work instead of drifting into publishing and editing (a totally subjective field that calls for a LOT of interpersonal skills that I do not own).

...you might find this [Aspie] article interesting: "Asperger's: the IT industry's dark secret".
Quote:
Dr Tony Attwood, a world-renowned Asperger's clinician and author in Brisbane, Australia, defines Asperger's in a more human context:
Quote:
The [Asperger's] person usually has a strong desire to seek knowledge, truth and perfection with a different set of priorities. ... The overriding priority may be to solve a problem rather than satisfy the social or emotional needs of others.
