My family has the dreaded double chin too! Oh genetics!!! LOL But I'm slowly losing mine too. I do exercises for that that as well and stretch my neck. Anything to get rid of that!
Gobble, gobble!! LOL!

Oh, you just bought a swim suit from Lane Bryant, too? I just ordered one, and it came about a week later. I love it!!! I swim pretty often, when I can find the time.

You asked what "Shane's" was. Its a BBQ restaurant that is really popular in the southeast...well, mainly in GA, SC, and AL. It sort of fast-food like, but the chopped pork (which I had) is made without sauce. Pretty good stuff!

What's "Shane's"?
Congrats on the exercise and the 1/2 inch off! Woo hoo!
Can't wait to get my Lane Bryant swim suit, because one of my two exercises that I do often is swim, and I have been swimming in bike shorts and two tank tops.

Week 23

I think even the low-carb junk food can be addictive

I know for me, it took forever before I finally bit the bullet and gave it up... I was gaining and gaining but still in denial that the sugar alcohols and other products with "net carbs" were not ok for me!

hi, thanks for the comments. you're right of course. I just know I can do better, but at the time I don't care enough, then I get mad at myself when looking back and knowing how much better I could be doing.

Week 23

You are lucky to lose at all (no offense, you are really lucky! lol)... that you can still lose but bend the diet a little. I rejoice @ .4 lb loss in a week! As long as you are losing at all and happy with your diet, life is good! It might take a long time to get to your goal, but you will get there without having to starve and losing lots of muscle.

Woo hoo! regarding the 4 lbs. I also started Coconut Oil this morning! IT is supposed to help with metabolism!
I hope it works... it did for someone who has a VERY similar story to mine...

Hey, and if I can lose while on my honeymoon, facing the temptation to really CELEBRATE with FOOD (!!!!) you can lose on this vacation!

The Recovery Process

A writer/speaker whose life experience lifts my spirits is Bob Earll, a man whose life story reminds me of pieces of my own life story that I'd lost until I sat listening to him tell me - and a conference room full of folks - my own story, from his personal experience. Bob Earll rocks my world!

One of his priceless pieces of advice is asking WHAT IS THE SOURCE OF YOUR INFO? when his demeaning demons start yammering at him to beat him into submission. He says he never gets any answer back. The question renders mute his Inner Demons! Yay, for such a tool to quiet that internal yammering! Oh, if you do not have internal yammering, you may wonder what in the world it sounds like. Lucky YOU!

08-25-08 Weigh-In Results

Hey. Wow! I am so glad that you lost 4 pounds these last 2 weeks...I did too! I think that you will pick up speed with your fat-fast/ Atkins plan. Once you lose a little more, your metabolism will probably get better, too. You are making Awesome progress! Keep it up!!!

08-25-08 Weigh-In Results

Well I wasn't good with Atkins either but I like South Beach because it gives you low fat as well as low carbs. I have been doing 700 calories of low fat protein and lost 4 lbs in 3 days. My metabolism is very sluggish so I am very encouraged. If you do 700 calories of protein and nothing else for 7 days it should jump start you and then you can add 2 cups of veggies. Atleast that is how it is suppose to go

Deb's Journal

Hmmm put on a few pouinds after cheating for about a week. What the heck happened there.
I was about to start maintenance week for a break then restart the plan but in maintenance you have to wait until the weekend for a carb up day and I got overwhelmed about waiting that long and started cheating. So I am skipping the maintenance and going right to the restart. I love the macropatterning part of the plan with carb up days on Wednesday and Saturday. I absolutely can stick to that part of the plan.
