Day 8

Posted 03-26-2008 at 06:50 PM by chi1ip3pp3r
B: 3 eggs cooked in butter, 1 oz cheese, 1/2 green pepper, 1/2 red pepper
L: 1 portion salmon cooked in olive oil, 1 oz cheese, RAW VEGGIE MIX
D: 1 chicken leg, 1 chicken breast with skin baked in oil, 1 oz cheese, RAW VEGGIE MIX
S: 1 oz cheese, RAW VEGGIE MIX
S: 1/3 cup whipping cream, 1 packet splenda, dash apple pie spice, dash vanilla, 1 tsp fibersure

Raw veggie mix:
-1/2 cucumber
-1/2 green pepper
-1/2 red pepper
-1 cup celery

I had a lot of veggies! Down 3 pounds so far, but I expect to lose more by the end of the 14 days. Two major observations:

I am starting to notice when I feel full enough to stop eating, which is interesting! I don't usually feel that way! But when I get that feeling, I still, out of habit, continue to clean off my plate. Today, half way through my omlette, I felt like I could throw the rest away. But I felt bad wasting it. I wouldn't say that I was uncomfortably stuffed after eating the whole thing, but I was stuffed. I made it to lunch without any hunger. Perhaps I could try a smaller breakfast tomorrow. I will aim for 2 eggs, instead of 3.

Next observation: I really am maxing out the cheese and cream requirements. My favorite thing is to make whipped cream right before bed now. I am not eating "over the limits," but there is talk everywhere about how they can cause slow weight loss. Perhaps, when induction is finished, I could continue one more week without the dairy and see how my weight loss is affected! That might be interesting!

Things at school and work are stressful, but we have just 6 weeks left! After a 5 weeks of substituting, I will have a lovely 3 week vacation to travel the country, move into my new apartment, and explore Arizona! Then 2 weeks of classes, and 1 week of Teacher Orientation!

A total of 17 weeks before I step foot in front of my new class! As soon as the hectic part of my internship passes, I will get a gym membership and really get healthy! For now, I'll aim for hiking or walking on the weekends or whenever I get a chance!

Feelin' good, despite the exhaustion of it all!
