Woo! Long weekend! No work until Tuesday
.
I really love working at the lab and it's great experience, the long long days and actually having to work lol.. is not so great lol.
My supervisor offered me a job for when my placement is over
. I need 2 years lab experience so I may take him up on it, I get on so well with everyone there, I feel like I've been there years, not 2 weeks, and I'm getting used to everything and learning how to do everything now. He said I can work during the summer and other holidays, basically whenever I want until I graduate and then carry on after that if I want to. It was kinda random.. we were having a conversation about smoking.. and he offered me a job out of the blue lol.
The only thing that's putting me off is the distance I have to travel to get there, and how much it costs. Doing it for my placement isn't so bad because it's only for 5 weeks... so I'm not sure. I DO need a job, and it would be great if it was in a lab, so I can get started on getting my 2 years experience.. I just don't know yet. It's really hard to find a job just for the summer/holidays, and a lot of people don't like taking students on, or, they take students on, but it's minimum wage.. and stuff like bar jobs..
Hmmm...
. Can I really cope with leaving at 6am and not getting home till 7pm long term though?
Doing well with the walking to work. Doing 2 miles a day without even thinking about it now, it's just routine and I've walked there before I realise I'm walking (at that time in the morning I'm on autopilot lol). Gonna be at the farm this weekend so more exercise I don't have to think about there..
