Good Week

Posted 04-27-2008 at 11:25 AM by Bramble
I weighed myself today- 7.6lbs down! In a week! That should keep me motivated for the next week .
I started writing down exactly what I was eating and what is in it, and have realised that most of my carbs come from milk. I live on coffee and can't drink it without milk. 20g of carbs in a day, just from my coffee... more carbs than I want to be having in a day (then like 14g from food... so 34g overall and 14g too much!).
Cream has less carbs but SO much more fat and calories which scares me..
I ordered some Ketostix online so I'll wait until those come and if I'm in ketosis even with the milk then I'll just carry on, if I'm not, then I'm going to have to cut out the milk or cut down at least.

Food I've eaten today:

Breakfast: None

Lunch: 3 boiled eggs w/butter.

Dinner: Diet coke chicken & cauliflower w/cheddar cheese

Snacks: 2 tbsp peanut butter
(Lots of coffee & milk too)

Cals: 1598
Carbs: 61g (15.4%)

Protein: 129g

Fat: 91g

Back to my work placement tomorrow- which stops me drinking *quite as much* coffee (and definately no alcohol). And, I'm going to walk there too now I know the way- the train gets there an hour earlier than I start, and the place is only 2 miles away. Walking 2 miles 5 days a week is better than nothing, and it's not a big a shift from no exercise to going to the gym every other day (which I can do for a month before I get bored and stop). If I make doing more exercise a normal thing and build up to doing more intensive exercise it might stop me getting bored and seeing it as a chore... I hope...
