I said I'd be honest -right? Well OK, I lapsed a bit (on day one ). I live in Turkey and it is the custom to take food to neighbours but the plate mustn't be returned empty. While I was in the UK neighbours had brought food for DH and I came home to a pile of plates. Yesterday I baked some rock cakes to fill the plates for their return. I confess I kept some back. They were delicious. I was naughty, I know, but.... Oh, what can I say! I didn't feel too bad about it, not the sort of bad that derails me.

Lunch waas a tuna mayo creation where I added a little chopped tomato and chopped pepper. I served it on a bed of sliced lettuce and it was very nice.

I weighed myself this morning (I am like that) and I have lost a few pounds of ugly water, it seems.

Dinner was lovely, I did seabass with courgette chips, runner beans and grilled tomato.

Today for brekky I fried some Banvit Chicken roll with half tomato and an egg. I have no idea what carbs are in the chicken but it may be the best option financially and carb-wise as bacon here is very expensive. Will scour the shelves to see what is available when I next shop.

Glugging down the water whenever I think of it, not to the point of feeling uncomfortable though.

Feeling positive.

Wow I can't believe how long it's been!

I lost half a stone. I was doing well, then it stopped. I was having yoghurt for brekky. Decided to weigh it yesterday, OOOOOH 300mg and at 7.5g carbs par 100ml that means I have been having over 21g carbs before I have started the day!!!!!

Yoghurt finished now. But I ought to have some for the calcium. How on earth will I make myself only have a teensy-weensy bit?

My legs are slimmer. And I feel I have a better shape. BUt I am still big in the belly. Atilla tapped it yesterday and commented on how wobbly it was. He's never done that before and I...

I stand accused

Posted 06-10-2008 at 05:47 AM by Bibby
Yes Blog, you accuse me and I own up. Guilty as charged. I havent kept my blog up to date and I have sinned badly sometimes. Mitigating circumstances combined with lack of spine...

Well all the bedlham has settled down (fiingers crossed). Our friends have returned to the UK and so life should return to normal (what's normal).

I began a half a stone in a month challenge and currently weigh 15st 11.4 or 221 lbs. Which means that I am over a stone lighter than I was at the beginning of May. Woo-hoo!

Dave said he thinks my stomach and legs look slimmer....

Day? Sorry I've lost track

Posted 06-03-2008 at 03:49 PM by Bibby
Bad/good few days. Very busy, not good for dieting. Had friends visiting, vet trips and the hospital trip on Monday that took 4 hours to get to and 4 hours from, was hot, not much english spoken, busy and the refreshments were a low carbers nightmare. Hope to settle a bit tomorrow otherwise it's ridiculous.

Mood, still upbeat. I am not panicking

Day 8, Oops forgot to keep my Blog up to date.

Posted 05-31-2008 at 01:50 AM by Bibby
We have had a very busy few days and I haven't always been good. But not totally bad. We have had a few visitors, much travelling and cat ill and had to have a small op.

I am anticipating a bad day on Monday because we have a long journey to a place we have never been to. I am hoping it isn't as fraught as I anticipate.

BBQ tonight, so that should be enjoyable and not a diet problem.

Day 5, Not so good

Posted 05-28-2008 at 12:36 AM by Bibby
Yesterday we had visitors and we opened a packet of biscuits. I was hoping they'd pig out, but they only ate 1.... There were 6 in the pack. So, later I ate 3. Today I calculated the carbs I ate.....23g!!!

I use Fitday and sometimes it is difficult. Unless I am not using it to it's fullest. Last night I cooked the Atkins Curry Burger (I added a spring onion to it). It was very nice. We had it with salad and a tiny bit of grilled cheese on top (I say tiny because the cheese mostly slipped off). Problem is Fitday wont let me add the burger as a custom food unless I know...
