Gettin' the Groove Back

Well, I'm halfway through Day 4 of being back on plan. Monday was the worst day in terms of cravings, by Tuesday I wasn't even thinking about cheating anymore. I had already lost over a pound by Tuesday, but then decided not to weigh anymore until next week because of my TOM starting.

I never really felt a significant carb withdrawel, maybe a little tired the last few days and felt a little clammy last night, but I don't know if that was carb withdrawel or my TOM. Doesn't really matter, I suppose.

I set a goal to lose 5 pounds by my birthday, which is April...

Made good choices today

My sister had her 2ND baby shower today, and I made sure I wasn't that hungry when I arrived. I only picked the LC options to eat and I passed on the desserts. I'm glad to know that if I am prepared I can stay on track even through parties and holidays. I'm going to weigh in again in a few days and see if I've lost any more!

My choices at the party were:

a slice of ham
broccoli and cheese salad
green salad
a small bite of cheese/mushroom quiche
sugar free peach tea

Stayed on Plan!

Yay! I went out to Red Lobster for dinner last night and had a DELISH shrimp and lobster caesar salad. I did have a couple of stuffed mushrooms, but there didn't seem to be hardly any breading in the stuffing...it was mostly seafood and cheese. Then we went to the Billy Joel concert and he ROCKED! He sounds just as good as he did when he was younger AND he is an AMAZING pianist! They had a camera that would zoom in on his fingers and my mouth would just drop open! I had so much fun and it was guilt free!

I am going to see Billy Joel in concert Thursday night and I am SO excited! My sister got my husband and I tickets for Christmas AND gave us a gift card to go out to eat AND is babysitting our daughter. Now that's a GOOD gift! I do plan to stay on track...no excuses!

Got a little off, but right back on

I threw my sister her baby shower this weekend and I was all excited because I was making low carb options for myself to eat at the shower. The mistake I made was not eating the whole day beforehand and so I was STARVING byt he time the shower started at 2. I wound up eating all types of food and a huge slice of cake. Then I didn't do well at dinner on the way home because I was tired and just wanted something I could eat in the car.

But the good news is is that I got back on track on Sunday and have been good today as well. I haven't had enough water in the last two days,
