Feeling a little better

Posted 01-28-2008 at 07:50 PM by Bethanyblondie
I weighed in again this morning and I am down about a pound. So I feel a little better now.

AND-my pants have been slipping down all day, so obviously I've gotten smaller. I did go to the gym this morning and ran and lifted some weights, so I'm on the ball with exercising. I'm even gonna run another 5k on February 17th. Hopefully I can improve my time since I'll a lot lighter!

You know, it's funny when you read other peoples' blogs or posts and they are upset that the numbers on the scale aren't moving, even though they KNOW they've lost weight. I am feeling very pumped up tonight. Instead of my usual day parked on the couch or on the floor playing with my daughter, I spend most of the day raking and bagging leaves (while my daughter ran amuck in the yard), and I STILL went running tonight as well! I am definitely feeling the extra energy that the Atkin's way of life provides.

My husband's been doing pretty good as well on the plan, not as strict as I am...but he doesn't have as much to lose as I do. I'm probably not getting quite as many of my carbs from vegetables as I should, only about

Not missin' the fries

Posted 01-25-2008 at 09:20 PM by Bethanyblondie
I have made it through a whole of Atkin's induction and I am happy as a clam at the moment. I had a delicious lunch today at Bill's Buffalo wings (had their "naked" tenders with the "wild" sauce and a side salad with ranch). AND even better...my sister paid! Woohoo!

For dinner I made ham roll ups (a life long favorite that my mom always made) and deviled eggs (imagine Homer Simpson's "ah uh uh uh ah" sound...just replace the word donuts with deviled eggs). It was all so good I just nearly floated off the couch to Nirvana.
