Here we go again

Posted 11-04-2008 at 09:15 AM by Bethanyblondie
I spent my summer just not caring about food or weight and it has definitely caught up with me. I was as low as 225 around this time last year I shot up to 247 over the last six months. I joined Weight Watchers for accountability, which is helping a little bit. I'm following Atkins at home, but go to weigh in every week. I'm down to 238 now, so I've made a little bit of progress.

I know myself too well to say I won't be on and off, especially during the holidays. Just going to do the best I can day by day.

Gettin' the Groove Back

Posted 03-27-2008 at 02:17 PM by Bethanyblondie
Well, I'm halfway through Day 4 of being back on plan. Monday was the worst day in terms of cravings, by Tuesday I wasn't even thinking about cheating anymore. I had already lost over a pound by Tuesday, but then decided not to weigh anymore until next week because of my TOM starting.

I never really felt a significant carb withdrawel, maybe a little tired the last few days and felt a little clammy last night, but I don't know if that was carb withdrawel or my TOM. Doesn't really matter, I suppose.

I set a goal to lose 5 pounds by my birthday, which is April...

Day One Back on Track

Posted 03-24-2008 at 10:51 PM by Bethanyblondie
Well, I got back on track after a three or so week hiatus...which put me back up several pounds. I hate to say it, but I loved eating my junky and fast food again. My addiction to fast food is so emotional...that doesn't go away even when I'm not craving it. I can be really happy and it still makes me want fast food.

I did survive some major temptation today. I was drooling over the thought of some Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs that were 50% off the whole time I was shopping. I think it was the thought of the sweet/salty combination that sounded so good.

Made good choices today

Posted 03-02-2008 at 11:53 PM by Bethanyblondie
My sister had her 2ND baby shower today, and I made sure I wasn't that hungry when I arrived. I only picked the LC options to eat and I passed on the desserts. I'm glad to know that if I am prepared I can stay on track even through parties and holidays. I'm going to weigh in again in a few days and see if I've lost any more!

My choices at the party were:

a slice of ham
broccoli and cheese salad
green salad
a small bite of cheese/mushroom quiche
sugar free peach tea

Stayed on Plan!

Posted 02-29-2008 at 09:08 PM by Bethanyblondie
Yay! I went out to Red Lobster for dinner last night and had a DELISH shrimp and lobster caesar salad. I did have a couple of stuffed mushrooms, but there didn't seem to be hardly any breading in the stuffing...it was mostly seafood and cheese. Then we went to the Billy Joel concert and he ROCKED! He sounds just as good as he did when he was younger AND he is an AMAZING pianist! They had a camera that would zoom in on his fingers and my mouth would just drop open! I had so much fun and it was guilt free!
