Summer Challenge - Getting Healthy and Fit

Tomorrow I start Phase 1 of the South Beach diet, and yesterday I did my first hour of Callanetics (10/10). I've been eating healthier and trying to be more active for about a month now, and I've lost 5 pounds of the 15 I gained over the last year and a half. I want to lose 15 more (or so - 10 would be okay too). I'm going to use this space to record my daily exercise and to mark progress in my journey.
Today - I walked for about one and a half hours total, (2 different walks), with some serious uphill work. My muscles are very sore from my first day of Callanetics, which I loved. Right now, I'm feeling really psyched.
Yesterday my husband took some "before" photos of me in a bathing suit. The rear view is pretty darn sobering - it's easy to ignore back there, if you want to. I'd love to see some serious tightening and toning and overall flab reduction back there.
And, of course, I'm looking forward to leaner thighs and belly, too.
Throughout it all, I'm going to try to stay committed to being kind toward myself and staying positive.
So....here I go!
