Feeling....Enlightened

Today is day 6 of my zillionth time starting induction. For some reason, this time feels different. In the past, I would let everybody and their momma know that i'm doing lowcarb. This time, I have the "just wait and see" mentality. I want people to come up to me saying "girl, what are you doing? you're losing weight". I prayed before I started this WOE and asked GOD to lead and guide me. We trust HIM for everything else, why not give our weight problems to HIM? I have a 2 year old daughter (going on 20) and I can't stand the thought of dying from obesity and not being around to take care of her. Hopefully, this blog will help me stay focused on my goal. I'm tired of trying...I finally want to succeed!!

Menu for today:

B: Egg/Cheese/Sausage Bake
L: Turkey burger (sans bun) with cheese
D: Crack Slaw or Grilled Chicken Salad

Hello,
Wow I work in Morrisville, yes we should definitely keep tabs on each other. I started induction on 2/29 at 283 lbs. I had lost 50 on Atkins before girl this time feels different for me too.

The last time I was on Atkins, I lost around 50 pounds too. It was wonderful...then, I got pregnant with my daughter. I'm telling you...if you want to get pregnant, Atkins is the way to go. I want to get down to around 150 this time before I even think about having another baby. When I delivered, I was actually smaller than I am now. My priorities shifted, and I lost focus. But i'm back in effect and aint no stoppin me now!!!

Hi! I was reading your blog and felt compelled to post a comment. You are so right, about us leaning on God to help us with our weight issues. Like you said we do it for everything else in our lives. That is the way He wants it anyway.

The inspiration your daughter is giving you and your faith in God will help you succeed this time. I am rooting for you and will check in from time to time. Let's all keep each other accountable!

Hi s1mon3,

Thanks for your encouragement. You can never get enough good vibes coming your way. This whole thing is exciting and scary at the same time. I'm so scared of failing but GOD is bigger than all of our fears.

Hey! So I know I'm late (haven't been around all weekend) but "God is bigger than your fears" caught my attention...Amen! Fear is not of God!

I too encourage you I've lost track of how many times I've started over...but the good thing is you're here now!

Be Blessed!
