doesn't understand Diabetes or low carbing!

As long as I keep the carbs low, under 10 grams for a meal and 5 for a snack, my blood sugar is beautiful. I'm okay with that for the most part but man, some days its a real pain in the tush.

This morning when I awoke it was 81 and after breakfast of a scrambled egg, 2 slices of turkey bacon and 2 cups of coffee with half and half, it was 112, a little higher than I like but acceptable. But man, what I'd give for a slice of toast! One slice of whole wheat toast would generate a lovely spike, though, one that would take me...

A Fantastic Week!

I turned some lemons into lemonade this week...low carb lemonade, of course!
It was a slow week, workwise, and with my new found energy from no sugar or carbs, I tore into working around my house like a woman possessed!
I have gotten soooooo much done! I have tons more to do but I got more done since last Sunday than in the last few months combined! I'd love to be able to stay home and putter around the house all the time but I'm a single Mom of two grown kids and I haven't hit the lottery!
I'm down just under twelve pounds! Singing my own praises!

Progress: measurement log # 2

Right. I haven't been logging my measurements here and here goes:

weight: 167.5 (-4.7)
waist: 30.9 (-3.4)
hips: 42.1 (-2.8)
thigh: 23.2 (-2.4)

My "tight" jeans are saggy.

Today I wore pants I couldn't fit into in spring. I wore them last a year ago and then they were tight and I had to wear a saggy shirt to hide my lovehandles. I remember them being uncomfortable around the waist and myself running to the toilet whenever I could just to open the buttons.

Well, none of that! They were a bit tight around...

First workout dvd ever

Today I tried something new. A workout dvd.

Wow! Absolutely wonderful experience

Even though there were some exercises missing and I definitely did not do all reps, but I felt them working better than ever

It is important to do the exercises. But it's not ok to feel inadequate if they don't go perfectly or few reps are left undone.

So, that's total of 11 hours of callanetics.

Well, I switched from IM to SQ shots mid-round. I was concerned yesterday when I gained 0.4 lbs, but it must have been just water weight. SQ shots are easier for me, I just angle the needle into my stomach fat (and there is still plenty of that around). Next time i am going to order the shorter needle.

Money is a little short right now. I had to pay for DD college. She had been getting loans but didn't qualify since she switched to a junior college for this fall. Not sure when I will be able to order hcg. I am planning on doing 4 rounds. One short one next and then one...
