Haven't posted in a while, too much going on in my life. I followed protocol as closely as I could over the weekend, but out of 3 days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) we ate out 5 times! But with family in for the funeral on Friday that stayed until Sunday, what do you expect? I didn't drink enough water over the weekend either. I always have the hardest time drinking water when I am not at work. I am trying to get into the habit of fixing a glass of water as soon as I walk into the house at night and first thing in the mornings on the weekend, but remembering to drink that water is another...

UNC Wellness Center Sprint Triathlon:

We spent the night in Chapel Hill. Got up at 4 a.m. (my usual time anyway). We each had a Larabar and a banana with natural peanut butter and a protein powder drink later on. Got to the race site by 5:30 a.m. to rack our bikes and set up our transition areas. Had plenty of time to get acclimated and see what everyone else was doing. Picked up our timing chips and got body marked with our numbers. Warm up for the swim was from 6:00 to 6:30 am but since my swim was not til 8:14:50 I decided to just warm up with stretches.

I feel like a kid again...writing my first report of the school year! But the past three weeks of traveling have been so awesome and I just have to report on all my experiences...with food and without!

We hit the road late in the day and drove straight through Kansas (been there...done that...ALOT!!!) and started the day in South Dakota. Our first stop was the Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD. It was fun to tour such a kampy, touristy spot along with all of the other people who don't know anything about corn except that it makes you fat.
