I am no stranger to low carbing. After spending most of my life dieting, in 2005 after almost splitting from my husband, I decided that I needed to really take care of myself. I started Atkins Induction and with absolute success, I lost 30 pounds following the rules of Atkins, Induction, Ongoing weight loss and then Maintenance. The only problem was that I didn't follow maintenance. I lost track from 2006 until present after my dad's death and a lengthy probate. That probate is closed now and I am 20 pounds heavier then my initial loss.

I am hear for myself to say, no more...

July is a new month and still pressing on

Posted 07-06-2009 at 12:25 PM by Flaxman
Well after a lovely week-end I went and had a great workout.

I went 35 minutes on the treadmill and burned 355 calories, plus an unknown amount working on the machines, all upper body, arms, shoulders, back.

I am still at 350 on the scale but I know better than to think that I am not making any progress because I'm getting harder which means I'm toning up in the body plus I have to consider how things fit and how I feel in general so no matter.

Looking forward to a lovely steak dinner. Gotta' keep the protein up as I work out so as to build muscle after tearing it up....

Log entries for the past few days:

Wed: cardio day - hip hop abs
Thurs: Evolution
Friday: Supposed to be cardio - just did about 20 minutes though - goal is an hour
Saturday: Unexpected BBQ at my house but I did get the Am portion of callanetics in.
Sunday: I did the pm portion. Monday planning on doing cardio and possibly a callanetic workout. Eating on Sunday was not stellar. Chinese for lunch and pizza for dinner.
New week and its Monday!

Dr.Stillmans ~14 Day Shape Up Program

Dr.Stillmans ~14 Day Shape Up Program
Dr. Stillmans’ 14 Day Shape Up Program

You choose from the foods selected as being high in protein low in carbohydrates and low in fats. Eat a satisfying amount without stuffing yourself. If you overload your stomach, eating portions of mammoth size you won’t lose weight as rapidly as you can and should. You should feel comfortably satisfied and not badly deprived or you might start feeling so sorry for yourself that you’ll eat your head off. And if you have to “cheat” on the diet, cheat on proteins.

You don’t eat any fats...
