measurements

OK. I measured myself today.

Stats: RT 25 3/4"
hip 47 1/2"
waist 38 1/2"
rib 37"
chest 42"
LA 14 1/2
shoulders 43"

I wish I had taken these measurements at the beginning, but I had to wait to buy a measuring tape.

I stayed well under my carbs today, BUT (BIG BUT!!!) I went way over what I should probably be having in the calorie area. I had about 2000 calories. EEEKK!! I gotta slow my roll before it gets going. Honestly...i felt...

I'm getting a dog

Due to some sad circumstances, a dog of a family member is soon to have no one to look after it, so I've agreed to take it in.

It's a five year old Jack Russel Terrier. I had been wanting a dog, but I had really wanted a dog that didn't shed. I don't know how my overly anal cleaning freak nature will react to dog fur on everything. Hopefully I mellow a bit or invest in an industrial strength vacuum.

The little dog should be in my neck of the woods this weekend. She's only lived in Texas so I'm not sure if she's ever even experienced snow. This Winter in Northern Illinois...

Going Dark

I'm going dark for a while (no not my hair! Though actually...) No, I mean I've got a writing project to concentrate on for the next couple of months and I'm streamlining my online life to make sure I've got as much time as possible to write every day.

I'll be back in the autumn! Though might check in for a butt-kicking before then if I let the diet slip. I have no plans to do so, I remain on OWL, might even start actually losing again! But my focus is elsewhere right now and I'm keeping things simple.

insomnia and weight gain

I want to know if it's REALLY, TRULY so important to weight loss to sleep for atleast 6-8 hours per night? Because I CAN"T!!! I'm an insomniac. I toss and turn, get up and down, drift in and out of sleep. I finally get so fed up that I just give up. I average about 4 hours per night.

I'm sleepy now, but I can't sleep!
