Well, I think by starting a blog, I will be able to keep myself more accountable and help keep me on the right track. I am 44 years old and I am 5' 9" tall and I weigh 163. A good weight for me is 135 pounds. I have managed to put on this lovely amount since turning 40. Yuck!!!! I have tried lots of different WOE to try to get this weight off but I am horrible about sticking to anything. I never had to diet in my life until I turned 40 and I simply do not have the discipline to keep up with it.
I am hopeful that these boards and also by this blog, I will be able to reach my goal....

Lean for Life - Week 1/Day 2 (8/19/08)

Well my 2nd day wasn't so hard. But it's easy to run out of ideas when you're only eating protein!

I dropped 4 lbs!

I tried a ketostick and there was a trace of ketones. I'm going to finish out day 3 anyway, because I'm capable of showing more ketones. Plus, I want to do this the right way. So here's what I had yesterday:

B - 2 slices turkey bacon, 1 scrambled egg
S - Meat Stick
L - 3 oz sauteed shrimp, 4 slices honey turkey breast
S - 2 slices turkey bacon, 1 scrambled egg (small slim jim later b4 dinner)
D - 4 oz turkey...

Power 90 - Week 1

Put in a full week of Power 90. Had trouble doing some of the exercise, but now they are getting manageable. The results of week 1:

Weight change: -5 lbs

Waist: - 1.0 inch

Energy level: steady

I have been staying low carb during the first week. I plan on staying that way for all 90 days.

I was stuck at 232 lbs until getting on this program. I was very surprised how this program got me going. I am looking forward to the day I can do all the workouts correctly and not hit the pause button.

eating my emotions

i have been having a problem lately becuz i have been dealing with some feelings. it is so natural for me to eat when i am feeling emotions. it is a battle not to.

i won this week because i lost 2 lbs. yay!

the situation that i am upset about is not over yet but i am darned if I am going to gain weight over it. i have goals to accomplish. No time for eating my emotions.
