Day One down

Posted 07-16-2008 at 05:22 AM by cpcats
Yesterday was day one. It went pretty well, I must say. I own a small yarn shop. It's a one-woman show there, so my days can be pretty unpredictable. Yesterday I had customers there from the moment I opened at 10am until when I locked the doors at 9pm. Long day, most of it spent hanging out with knitters... Yarns shops are different than most shops in that people like to just come, hang out and knit for hours on end. It's fun for me, but draining. Usually i don't like to eat in front of customers, but I had to yesterday.

I think I'm going to post here what I eat...not...

I got weighed in at my home meeting today. I lost 2.2 !!! I am so pleased with that. I know the exercise has really been the catalyst for my losses. I seem to workout harder at the gym. Maybe it is the other people also working out hard or maybe it is the machines are better than mine at home but I am walking longer and faster on their machines. I will get to see how mine is in comparison today.

The gym I go to has people of all ages and stages. I like that. I can see many people my age there. It is a comfortable place. A lot of machines of all kinds. So far I have only...

My Introduction

Posted 07-15-2008 at 03:12 PM by gjet68
Welcome to my Blog. I am going to take the first post and introduce myself to everyone. My husband and I have been married for a little over 20 years now. We are retired childrens pastors. We just bought our first home, completley paid for so we could retire. Or so we thought..lol Anyhow, thats another story. We have a daughter age 18, who got married in March of this year and had her first baby, a girl, Lillianna Rose, born on June 23, 2008 at 28 weeks gestation. In spite of being premature by 3 months, she is doing fine. We also have two sons, ages 17 and 15.

The reasons I want...

Just say "NO" to dieting!

Posted 07-15-2008 at 02:34 PM by fluffybear2
I have given up on diet "plans" of any type. They just don't work for me. There are too many times that they just DO NOT work such as birthdays, family get togethers, eating out, etc. So I got rid of all my diet books, stashed my leftover Medifast in the basement in case we ever have a big weather emergency like a tornado or earthquake (they are very similar to emergency rations anyway ). I just plan on eating healthy. For me that would be a LOT of veggies, 1-2 servings of fruit everyday, whole grains once a day or less, no full-fat dairy and only low fat or fat free dairy...
