Here I go again. I've done this WOE before and liked how I felt and the success that I had. Unfortunately, I didn't think of it as a WOL! I now have the mindset and plan to reach my goal.

Why today? Why now? I have set goals so many times, and I could've reached ALL of them had I changed my mindset. This time, I'm planning to succeed with the following goals in mind: Get off blood pressure meds, feel good, fight the aging processes that I see coming in my parents, feel comfortable in my clothes, and take part in life instead of being a spectator.

What has spurred...

Rambling

Posted 07-14-2008 at 07:55 PM by Maja
Today the scale read 244 lbs. That is soooo frigging awesome . When I got pg with my twins I was 245 lbs because I lost 10lbs on the cabbage soup diet. I don't even remember the last time I was 244. The funny thing is, I can see my wrist bones. Isn't that wierd. I mean of all things to notice, my wrist bones?

I can now wear my engagment ring, it's soo pretty and I LOVE it. I haven't been able to wear it since about the 5th month of pregnancy. That's over 2 years ago. I was soo amazed when it actually fit . I'm soo glad I brought it with me to Canada. my wedding band is still...

I'm back and I lost 6 pounds!

Posted 07-14-2008 at 11:54 AM by emslight
OK so I've been quiet a few weeks. I kind of fell off the plan. It crept up on me slowly - an alcoholic drink here, a bit of ice cream there, a bite of chocolate, a half an apple. Before I knew it I wasn't in ketosis, I wasn't counting carbs and I was 3 pounds up. Given that I'd only lost a grand total of 7 pounds this probably made me the biggest muppet in town. But... after a month's lapse I have pulled myself up, dusted myself down and reinducted last week with a clean, clean and new approach and a weight loss of... count them... 6 pounds! Feeling very pleased and spurred on to continue...

Keeping track of business...

Posted 07-14-2008 at 10:42 AM by MarblesLongGone
I had been intending on getting serious about my weight again, and had just gotten back on the wagon when Cleo invited me back here for the Mid-Year-Challenge.

I'd taken off a bit before the challenge started, 18 pounds, but I still had more to drop. So, I have been doing pretty well. I am more or less between extended Atkins induction, and OWL. My secret? No real secret, eat fat, fat and more fat! LOL! When I track my foods on Fitday, I do best when 75% or more of my caloric intake is from fat. I also try to avoid Frankenfoods.

What are Frankenfoods?

1st day - 7/14/08

Posted 07-14-2008 at 06:47 AM by evanse
Today is officially my first day to weigh in and start my 1st hour a callanetics. I'm trying to learn a low carb diet, so many out there just not sure which one works the best. I'm very excited about starting callanetics, I got all the DVD's and start my first hour tonight after work. Look for any pointers from low carbing and starting callanetics.
