Memorial Day weekend 2008

Over the years M-Day weekend has been when my food plan for weight loss stopped. For some it is a drinking weekend. For me it would end up being an eating weekend. All the hot dogs and cheeseburgers and eating out at favorite summer places began on M-Day weekend.

I am older and wiser now. I do not intend for the summer to destroy all the work I have done since January.

I just tried on a brand new bathing suit that I bought last year and couldn't wear because it was too tight. It fits fine now. Looking good!

Instead of going away on Friday...

Day 3 Update

Oops, just worked out my carbs for yesterday and it comes to 24..... Am using Fitday, I am pleased that it is more user friendly and also really chuffed that it remembered me after such a long break. Previously it forgot me after a break and I had to rejoin, losing all the food data I had painstakingly input.....

BTW when I said I had kept a few cakes, that sounds worse than it was. I kept 4 small misshapen ones and I ate two. No need to work out the carbs, I know I blew it.

well last few days have been good

Last few days have been good in terms of attitude...not so good in the food department..lol..not to worry though..bought my groceries...and am not looking back..I was thinking today in the car on the way home from work..."by next summer I dont want to be in the same place physically for myself".....just tired of being in this place of fattness...its not me..and its not how I want to express myself...but I do know that it is a decsiion to be made everyday...not easy getting over a life time a really bad eating habits...well all for now; need my sleep just wanted to drop a few lines in...

Day 3

Well things are going well. I am 228lbs now, I started at 231, I think. These american pounds are hard for me to remember.

Yesterday we had a sort of cheese and boiled egg salady thing for lunch which was very nice. Followed by lamb chops and grilled peppers and spring onion (I think they are called salad onoins in the US) and fried cauliflower (one of my faves).

I looked through the Atkins cook book for inspiration and have found a recipe that I have all the ingredients for. SO it's Aubergine Slippers (or something) tonight. -Don't you just hate it when you...
