OK - This Time I'll Do It Right!

Posted 04-04-2008 at 02:36 PM by SummerSue
Well, here I am again. I've been struggling for the past 5 years keeping my weight off. Three times I've lost 30 lbs on Atkins and 3 times I've gained it (or most of it) back again.

So, now I'm trying to focus on exercise, and not following the diet to a T, hoping that I won't go through that rebellion after I loosen up the induction strings! I really need for this to turn into a lifetime habit - a true way of living for me. I'm trying to focus on healthy choices within low carb eating, rather than strict induction.

I've been so inspired reading the Callanetics...

Day 5

Posted 04-04-2008 at 12:02 PM by tammay
Not doing so well today, but not because of lowcarbing.

Last night I developed a headache and even though I've been taking headache pills (over the counter) throughout the night and this morning, the headache has developed into a migraine. Right now it's not super bad, so I can still concentrate a little, but I'm only hoping it will either go away or not get worse. But this morning it was bad enough for me to call and cancel the appointment I had for a bone density text.

I don't think this is because of going back to lowcarb, as I've had this same thing for the past...

Loving One Another is Not an Option

I spoke about this yesterday, but that emotion is felt today more than ever. Steve Harvey's show was dedicated to the anniversary death of Martin Luther King Jr. That man did not have to die. He children never got the chance to know him like they should have. His wife had to go on raising those babies without his help which is not right. His death has never affected me before as it has hearing all of his speeches this morning. And his last speech in Memphis, was chilling. Like they say it was almost as if he was reading his wn eulogy. And you could hear the sorrow in his voice. That after all...
