to bring us up to date, I'm still on plan, but have been drinking waaayyy too much. too easy to fall off that wagon.

I haven't really seen that much weight loss, but I have had to get a new belt, and clothes are fitting better.

I have also started biking to work. For W/E April 18, I biked M,W,F, and for this week W/E April 25, I hope to bike M-Th. I work a 9/80 schedule and this is my short week.

My hope is to bike everyday to work barring rain in the morning. I can already feel this morning my legs have gotten stronger from last week's riding....

1 Month (April 15 2008)

Posted 04-21-2008 at 04:27 AM by roamer723
Well, I don't want to post this.

But I will.

I'm making it my ritual to post my weekly update so that I have some form of accountability.

I guess I shouldn't complai....errr, whine so much about not losing as fast as I want. I just get so jealous with all the folks on here who drop 10 lbs in one week. Must be nice...

After one month, I am down from 354.4 to 345 as of this morning. I have been as low as 343.6, but I'm still bouncing around. Always weigh on the same digital scale wearing the same thing.

Clothes are fitting better...

Week 3 (April 8 2008)

Posted 04-21-2008 at 04:26 AM by roamer723
pbbbbttttt!!!

I must just be retaining water. The seasonings I use on my meat do have a lot of salt in them. I also didn't work out last night. I've been doing that the nights before weigh in, and apparently it really helps with water retention. I'm up higher this morning than when I was sunday morning. The difference is I was working in the yard all day saturday and sweating a bunch.

But...I did have to put another notch in my belt this past week because my pants are getting looser. I have not been measuring, but I can tell that my clothes feel a little looser, so there's...

Week 2 Update (April 1 2008)

Posted 04-21-2008 at 04:26 AM by roamer723
Well, reality has set in. I came into this thinking I'd drop a quick 20 lbs in 2 weeks and then keep on trucking. Maybe if I would have followed the induction rules to the letter that may have happened. But I didn't so I'm happy with what I've done. It's just depressing to think how far there is to go. Just have to keep thinking "It's a marathon, not a sprint".

After 2 weeks on a modified Atkins Induction, I've lost 8.6 lbs. That is with drinking alcohol frequently, tho not in the last 2 days; and only working out twice. In the past when I've dieted and worked out I've only...

One Week Update (March 25 2008)

Posted 04-21-2008 at 04:25 AM by roamer723
Hey Everybody

So I started kind of a modified atkins on Mar 18. Was 354.4 at the start. Cut out all the breads, cereal, milk, oj, soda, beer, etc....have not been exercising.

Have been having egg omelets with red/green peppers, a little onion, and sourcream in them for breakfast. Sourcream helps the eggs stay moist and everything else is for flavor.

Then a meat and a salad for lunch; I like to mix romaine and spinach from the premade bags. Usually grilled something with/without low cal/low carb KC masterpiece bbq sauce. Then a grilled meat and salad agian...
