Diet pills?

About a year or two ago I went to my doctor and asked for Meridian. She flat out refused me. (she is stick thin) She said I could just get on a diet and do it myself- it is better for me.

I was very disappointed because I had hoped that a pill would help jump start me into weight loss because on my own I had no motivation, even tho I hated myself daily.

So I nursed a grudge about that for a while and kept eating. I watched my weight go even higher than it already was.

I actually got on the scale whenever I felt "thin" and I would...

I will be updating this later today... but so far:

B: 1 hamburger patty, 1/2 cup broccoli, 1/2 cup celery, French toast [1 oopsie roll (=1/2 egg, 1/2 oz cheese) w/ 1 egg, 1 splenda packet, dash vanilla, dash cinnamon]
S: 1 oz cheese and 1/3 cup light cream w/ dash vanilla, dash cinnamon, dash cocoa powder, 1 packet Sweet N Low
L: Pork chop cooked in oil, 1 egg cooked in oil, 1/2 cup celery, 1 tsp fibersure
S: 1 egg cooked in oil
D: 12 oz prime rib steak, 1+ cup of broccoli, coffee with a bit of cream and 1 packet of splenda

S: decaf chai tea latte made with 2 coffee creamers and 1 1/2 splenda
L: 3 Chicken legs, 1 cup cucumber
D: McDonalds Bacon Ranch Chicken Salad (grilled chicken breast, 1 oz cheese, bacon bits, lettuce), 1 hamburger patty, 1 cup broccoli, 1 oz cheese, 1/3 cup whipped cream with 1 splenda and a dash of cocoa powder/cinnamon
S: 2 chicken legs, 4 slices turkey


Weighed in at 164.6! I hope I did ok on the test today! I realize that I eat much more on the weekends,...

Some more of my story

I am a lifetime member of WW's. I achieved that status way back in 1973. Since then I have come back three times. This is the third and last time for me.

In between I tried Atkins in 2000-2003. I liked eating all the foods that have been taboo to me for so long. I did quite well in the beginning. I lost 30 pounds in 3 months. But I found it hard to stay away from the high carb stuff completely eventually.

Needless to say I gained it all back and then some. I have been not doing much about my weight for the past 2-3 years. I hated myself but I did...

Okay I didn't even know this option existed. I think I will try it out.

I wanted to say something about how I believe God is in this with me.

I have prayed all my life about my weight. I have tried many ways to lose. I had even begun thinking a little bit about surgery. But I have a friend who had it done and she still has to eat a regimented plan. So what's the difference?

I asked once more for God to help me with the motivation I needed to go on a plan. I didn't even know which one. I knew I needed the motivation first.
