My exercise

Posted 03-31-2008 at 08:59 PM by slimdays
I have a treadmill at home. I love to listen to music that is fast enuf to keep me going. I have bought some sports music at Strawberries and some at Collagevideo.com

I get on the treadmill and warm up for 3-5 mins and then push the speed a bit for the rest of the time. Right now I am doing 20-25 mins a day. I am working my way up to 30 mins a day. I am doing it gradually this time because I don't want to be so sore that I don't want to go on it the next day. So far I am doing a great job. I have books on exercise by Covert Bailey. I like his ideas. He explains...

April Goals

Posted 03-31-2008 at 08:39 PM by fancyface
My goals for April are:
1- Lose 10 lbs
2- Walk 3 times per week
3- Ride exercise bike 3 times per week
4- Drink 80 ounces minimum of water
5- Keep carbs between 25 and 35 daily
6- Biggest one of all: Have fun!!

--Also, will be doing some yard work and hoping that serves the purpose of improving our lawn, garden, and burns a few extra calories.
--

My mini goals I set at the beginning of the year may require some revisions by the end of April. -for a very good reason, I believe I will be able to set my goal weights...

Day 13

This is where I start to lose it. I weighed in today ata 165.2. Yesterday I was 164.6 or so. I know it's most likely a normal weight fluctuation, but this begins a crazy cycle of second guessing myself and then restricting myself and then worrying about my eating... all which is not good. When I weighed in, I started to think about the steak I ate the night before. It was sweet, which makes me think it was cooked in a sugary sauce. If that's the case, I hope it didn't bump me out of ketosis. One positive sign is that I was not necessarily craving anything sweet today (so far). Just one more day...

Update

Posted 03-31-2008 at 01:33 PM by handbells
It's been an okay start. I've decided to try Paul McKenna's method keeping it mostly low carb, but not depriving myself either. Just watching and being careful. I can't weigh myself because the stupid scale is broken! Will have to get a new one this weekend.

Home scale said 150.5 this a.m. I think yesterday and today will show a loss in tomorrow's biggest loser at work.

This afternoon is cardio, 30 min on bike (regular instead of recumbent) and 30 min elliptical and 15 min inclined treadmill.

I did good with food today. Time for bed, so I will shop for clothes in Chadwicks catalog in bed

I looked at last week's stats for the individuals in our Biggest Loser Contest. In order for me to tie with Mike, I'd need to lose 20% of 178. That would be 36 lbs. Not sure if that is possible since there is only...
