Salted Almonds

Posted 02-25-2008 at 08:32 PM by Dedicated
So at work I needed something to chew.....so I walk over to the vending machine and get salted almond....it's sooo good..says something like 3-4 carbs ok. On my way to teach I stop at the drug store pick up some stuff and some salted almonds....BIG mistake...unlike the vending machine this isn't in portions....I'm pretty sure I ate half the can....So nervous for the scale.. no more salted almonds....and they tasted sooo goood! oh well

Losing weight on Medifast

Posted 02-25-2008 at 07:48 PM by fluffybear2
I am losing weight again on Medifast. I don't like the Medifast bars however and so I've been supplementing with Slimfast bars which taste better and are cheaper. The chocolate Slimfast bars are delicious and soft, not hard like many protein bars. I also tried the Slimfast Strawberry Cream bars and they are also great. They are about $7.00 a box compared to the Medifast bars which are about $13.00 a box. However I still have a lot of Medifast soups and shakes I need to finish off. Tonight my "lean and green" meal was beef and broccoli stir fry. Very good.

Getting Started Again

Posted 02-25-2008 at 07:44 PM by Poodle
After much consideration and a gain of 8 pounds that was gone 2 months ago, it is time to go back to low carbing. It is amazing how much better I feel when I am not shoving all of the sugar I love so much into my body. I am not looking forward to the withdrawl my body is going to go through, but I need to keep my eye on the prize of feeling energetic again. (oh, and the weight loss too)

Got a little off, but right back on

Posted 02-25-2008 at 07:35 PM by Bethanyblondie
I threw my sister her baby shower this weekend and I was all excited because I was making low carb options for myself to eat at the shower. The mistake I made was not eating the whole day beforehand and so I was STARVING byt he time the shower started at 2. I wound up eating all types of food and a huge slice of cake. Then I didn't do well at dinner on the way home because I was tired and just wanted something I could eat in the car.

But the good news is is that I got back on track on Sunday and have been good today as well. I haven't had enough water in the last two days,

Day 15 - Welcoming in OWL

Posted 02-25-2008 at 06:05 PM by huff576
Started the on going weightloss phase today (OWL). I have not made any major changes such as adding extra carbs. I really felt a need to compensate for yesterdays all-day graze.

My scale was up a pound this morning. Once again, this is not too disconcerning. I feel there is some water weight left behind as I took in more carbs than what I should have. I plan to add some celery starting tomorrow to implement OWL fully.

I also walked a 3.1 MPH treadmill for 40 minutes. Not much, but I am experiencing an energy boost as I type.

I still have a goal of...
