No Energy
 
Hi all. I'm on my 10th day of induction and I've lost 10 pounds which I'm really pleased about. I'm currently at 142 and want to get back to my preferred weight of 135. I figure at LEAST 5 pounds of that loss is just water loss so I am actually shooting for 130. I am not having any cravings, my appetite is fine, and I am generally sticking to every induction rule except for drinking PowerAde Zero which has artificial sweeteners - but it doesn't seem to have affected my weight loss.

My question is - when will I start getting my energy back? I am tired and exhausted all the time and feel like I can't do anything strenuous. Does it come back when you move to OWL? I'm mostly eating hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs fried with olive oil - sometimes with shrimp or mushrooms or stuff like that thrown in, salads with olive oil and veggies, some lean proteins (grease makes me sick), veggies for snacks, and a little cheese.

I started getting my energy back in the 2nd week, and it would be very sporadic. After the first two weeks of induction I felt a lot better, but energy was still sporadic.

I'm in my 5th week now, doing OWL, and feeling really good.

I'd be curious to know how you are feeling as the days go by. Are you feeling any more energetic or having the sporadic bursts like I did?

We were out dancing last night, I didn't want to stop. My foot and hip pain forced me to stop finally. On the other hand, my husband who's starting low carb, who usually has more dancing energy than I, was zapped last night. I think he's hitting that lack of energy phase of starting a low-carb diet.
