JUNE CHALLENGE - OWL/PreMaintenance
 
There's a challenge thread on the Atkins Induction board, but not one here. I know not everyone can be doing Induction for ever and ever. Who'd like to join me here for an OWL/PreMaintenance challenge?

State your weight loss goal for the month and post your daily/weekly/whenever weigh-ins.

Let's support each other, cheer one another on, and get a little chatter going in this forum.

What kind of scale did you get?

Okay, about back to where I started, what a relief. I'm also down 10 lbs this past month (since I started back) and feeling good about that. Now if I can just lose 10 pounds in the next 2 months, that would be great.

I bought a eat smart scale off of amazon. It is very pretty AND seems pretty accurate, DH weighs himself and is about the same every AM.

I am all for slow and steady wins the race. I've averaged about a pound a week since I restarted atkins last fall. For me, I will be eating LC/gluten free for the rest of my life. DH is type 1 diabetic and started lcing with me a couple months ago. He does it, not to lose weight, but to control his bs and use less insulin.

SweetMe, good to hear your husband is working the plan with you. Mine is slowly adjusting as he does most the cooking. I know he's eating less carbs, just hasn't cut them out completely. Won't read a book about it yet though, hopefully that comes soon. I will leave the Atkins book on the dinner table again tonight....lol.

I expected to be back up some. I had too much salt yesterday :D

It is very helpful to me, that my husband eats the same way. It means we were able to get rid of all the carby foods. And it means when we have to grab a bite somewhere, I'm not watching him eat a giant "whatever" and poking my salad with a fork :D

Thanks for the birthday wishes. We went out and had some fun yesterday. I ordered myself a sf espresso. I realized about halfway through it, that it was in fact NOT sf. Boy did I get a sugar high! Which then lead to a crash later, so I ended up eating some garlic fries when they were offered, cause I was then shaky and starving. I finished the day with a big burger patty with a dollop of mayo. BS wise I feel fine today, but of course my weight is up.

Wow, the weight is going off so very slowly and there is no way I'll reach my goal for the month. I'm going to have to start setting 2 lb goals if I want to reach a goal. But the trend is downwards and that's what I'm looking for.

Today's my day off from work. I can be extra careful today, see if I can keep that under 155 thing going.
