Good for you! Everybody has to start somewhere. I'm so happy that I decided to try LCing just one more time. It finally stuck :)

Newbie

Starting tomorrow, I'm nervous. Not quite sure what I'm supposed to eat and not. I'm going to give it a whirl and see how it goes.... 206/161/140

Dinalyn 04-08-2013 12:37 PM

good luck to you both!
I am not having much luck. im not sure if the fact that ive been dieting already this last year HCG,lost all but 16 of my goal weight and faithfully finished all p3/p4 of HCG protocol, and was very stabile before even starting the induction for the last 16.maybe carbs having been low already ??l. no movement on the scale at all and on day 5.:dunno::dunno:

That does not sounds too surprising, Dinalyn, especially since you are so close to goal for one, and two you have been dieting for a while. You are not truly in a stall until you have been faithful to the plan for six weeks with no loss. Keep up the good work!

Dinalyn 04-09-2013 04:41 PM

thank you. im wondering if maybe i should have just started atkin in OWL.

cfine 04-09-2013 05:42 PM

My thoughts would be that your body is trying to settle into its newer, skinnier self. If induction is not working yet, I wouldn't move up the rungs just yet. Give it a little time.

Thank you:hugs:
i do love the new skinnier me :jumpjoy:

Glad to see some good news! Congrats! I am a newbie to the forum. I have tried Atkins in the past with good success, but Ive strayed and now my weight has gotten out of control. I will need some support, so any that you could give would be great!

mcox 04-13-2013 06:19 PM

Hi, welcome to low-carb!!

Have you read the book? A few months ago I did some modrate research about Atkins and low carb diets and thought I'd give it a trail without fully understanding its principles or function, I succeeded but I couldn't wait for my energy to naturally reprise throughout low carb because of lifestyle commitments so I reluctantly (my cravings and appetite were virtually depleted at this time) went back on carbs. I found a good few weeks to do my Induction phase and bought the 2003 "New Diet Revolution" book and LEARNED A LOT and now it's much easier.

I would really recommend you read the book if you haven't, it's the ultimate guide.
