I posted this in the hcg forum but thought i would post it here as it refers to both atkins and hcg.
Has anyone done this? im just getting ready to go into p3,for 4 wks.at the end of this mix.
but i still have 20 pounds to go to goal. rather than going back for another round of hcg, i wondered it after i stabilize in p3 and go to atkins induction,for the remaining 20,if it will cause any stabilization issues later on.Thanks for any info . i think my body likes the atkins way ,since i stabilized so well last time in p3.:dunno:

Hmmm.
On the one hand, you really owe it to yourself to do P4 for a while.
The thinking is that you carefully reintroduce sugar and starches so that you see how your body does on them, so that you can return to a rather effortless way of eating while still staying in control with daily weigh-ins and abiding by the "gain no more than 2 lbs" rule. Allegedly, your hypothalmaus has 'reset', so you should be able to tolerate all food groups with moderation.

But you still have 20 to lose, so I understand why you might want to continue with losing. I believe that almost anyone can lose on induction.

I guess I'd say I'm on the fence on this one. Have you considered doing JUDDD while easing starches back into your food plan?

ETA. wanted to add that a lot of people think it is a very good idea to do P4 to lock your reset in for the first and last rounds.
So I guess I'd say do 3 weeks of P4 and then see if you want to use induction for more loss.

Thank you for the reply. i know protocol is p3,then p4,i jsut thought i mite ne able to skip that since i didnt plan to add back in the starch and sugar. but that mite be easier said than done,lol
But im leaning to doing both p3 and 4. and worry about the rest later. thanks again :shake:

You can still eat mindfully, on the P4 part.
Starches can be sweet potatoes instead of wheat.
Sugars can be apples instead of candy.
