Finding your carbohydrate tolerance?
It says in one of the books when you are approaching your maintenance phase that you are supposed to start increasing your intake of carbs until you find your "carbohydrate tolerance." Can someone just explain what that means and how you know when you get there.
Thanks. |

The Atkins diet is all about finding the number of carbs you can eat without gaining weight. Reading DANDR will explain this far more clearly than I can here, but the idea is, after the first 2 weeks induction, to introduce 5g additional carbs per day, per week - those carbs coming from specified sources, in a specified order - until you stop losing, at which point you know the number of carbs you can eat daily to maintain your weight.
You need to re-read the book if you haven't already - it's all explained in there (assuming you're doing Atkins or modified version thereof).

You could find all the information on the Atkins website, too - that would help until the book arrives.
