I'm back to low carb
Hi everybody...I'm back from a long period off the program. I'm back because I know I cannot be healthy with too many carbs. So I've been on induction for the past 7 days, keeping a paper journal of the foods I eat, and this time, I let my dh know that I need to eat this way for my health. I lost 7 pounds so far, and feeling already better. I realise that I cannot fool myself. I'm one of the people who need to stay away from certain food in order to feel healthy. This morning at a meeting, in the middle of the table were snacks, and the cookie plate was right in front of me. I resisted !!!!! And when I got back home I had a delicious salad with a piece of meat for lunch. In June, I will turn 60, and this is my gift to myself...adopting low-carbing for the rest of my existence, before I become diabetic or have a stroke...yes, this time around it's not for sex-appeal :) Although, having a slim body will be appreciated. Thanks to this board, I will have all the moral support I need to get to my healthy weight and keep it there.
