Panera's new low carb menu
Panera Bread has a new hidden low carb menu. 2 breakfasts and 6 lunch/dinners. All fit perfectly with Atkins.
I'm going to try the Power Mediterranean Chicken and substitute the half portion 1 carb Greek Herb Vinaigrette for the olive oil. Sign up online and get a free coffee, tea or soda instantly. |

Good to know! Normally whenever my coworkers make a panera run, I always pass. Excited about these new items!

It's a "Hidden" menu because it's only being advertised through social media like Facebook. They're not doing advertising through traditional means to assess the effectivness of social media outlets. It's only been out for 2-3 weeks. Pass the word around!

I tried the Power Mediterranean Chicken Salad. It was good, though I will say that the portion wasn't very big, smaller than most of their salads. But that's OK, lol, since I'm working on portion control too!

Okay, I ordered the Power steak wrap last night. It was very small for $8.49. Instead of using bib lettuce like in the pictures, they used reg. iceberg chopped lettuce and not many veggies-really nothing like the pic. The kid making it admitted he had never made one before and I think he messed it up.
That being said, the pesto sauce was amazing, and I used my own bib lettuce when I got home, diced up the cucumbers and tomatoes and made my own wraps. The steak portion, although small, was very tasty. So I am thinking I will make my own pesto sauce and just order a side of the steak the use at Panera next time and make my own.
