Whipping Cream, how many carbs?

I am confused. I am trying to to VLC. I use Land o Lakes whipping cream in my coffee. The label says 0 carbs but on Linda Sue's hidden carb calculator it says 1.25. So what do I count as 0 or 1?

The label says

1 tbsp
50 calories
5g total fat
0 carbs, fiber, sugar and protein

There are trace carbs in a tablespoon of heavy whipping cream. If you count it as half a carb, you're covering yourself.

Heavy cream is about 6.6 carbs per CUP. One cup = 16 tablespoons. (Light cream is 9 carbs per cup, half n half is 11 carbs per cup)

Some stuff to remember: Atkins limits you to 3 tablespoons of cream/sour cream per day; also the calories add up really fast, so if you're having a couple extra tablespoons there, you could be adding 200-300 calories per day you weren't counting.

When I used Land O Lakes Whipped Cream, I counted each tablespoon as 1 gram of carb since its sweetened with Splenda. I stopped buying it because it was too sweet. I could eat it a whole can of that stuff. No telling how much splenda is in a serving.

Splenda is 0, its the fillers they put in the packets that raise the carb count. I find a lot of land-o-lakes products to be less carbs then generic variety, less filler? not 100% sure but I buy it and use it exclusively.

Are they using liquid splenda or granular Splenda in the Land O Lakes? I don't count anything with Splenda as 0, but thats just me trying to err on the side of caution.

I think you're talking about 2 different things....

There's heavy whipping cream which is just the liquid you add to your coffee, etc...that should not have any sweeteners.

Then there's canned whipped cream, which is a totally different product....

My mistake, I was thinking of the Sugar Free Land O Lakes Whipped Cream in the can that is sweetened with Splenda.

I count regular HWC as half a carb as well. I no longer use the sweetend LOL cream in the can, even though it is sweetened with
Splenda. I'd rather adjust the sweetener myself to my tastes and appropriate amount.

Ya, when it comes to splenda, only the packets and baking stuff has carbs. The stuff they put in foods they get liquid form which they use to sweeten it. Davinci syrups, sodas etc, they are all 0 with splenda. The fillers add carbs.
