Glycerin

Whats the deal with glycerin in the atkins morning bars? Any info why this lowers the carb count in the bars? We were looking for a quick breakfast with our schedules but the 6 carb nutrition listing vs the 2 net carb on the box threw me off.

those are some of the magical mythical noncounted counting carbs that could possibly have a lower impact on your blood sugar during their voyage from your mouth to your insides and out again.
the atkins center back when Dr Atkins was alive requested the FDA allow them to be listed in the fiber counts on the nutrtional lables but the FDA said no way since they didn't meet the definition of fiber which is something that is unmetabolized on its journey from mouth to rearend.
