Nut flours
Good morning, All!
I have a question about nut flours. When you get to Rung 4 and are able to add nuts, how do you factor in nut flours? Dr. Atkins asks that you measure out the allowable nuts, but I'm not sure how that would equate to the flours. Thanks! J |

I guess it's Rung 3 you meant. Anyway, so you're allowed 1 oz of nuts, except cashews, which are 1/2 oz. Nut flours are just nuts made in tiny little pieces, so the amount would be the same --- 1 oz of flour.

This is the nutritional info for 1 oz of almond meal:
Bob's Red Mill Almond Meal/Flour And you can compare it with 1 oz of almonds in FitDay or something like that. You'll see they are pretty much the same, the differences simply come from different measurements. ![]() |
