congrats on staying on plan and being smke free.
BTW did you know ciggies act as diuretics in the body so you should have some fluid issues correcting themselves this month contributing to your weight increase earlier.

Sorry, Malapert--I guess that sounded sort of critical, when what I meant was that you should feel really GOOD about that rate of loss. It's more than a lot of people could expect in a month. So hell yeah--enjoy that!

Don't be surprised if it slows down to maybe 1 or 2 pounds a week, after a while, and if that happens, DO NOT think there's anything wrong with you. That is a normal, healthy rate of fat loss per week. (I think people have gotten really exaggerated ideas about weight loss from shows like The Biggest Loser or Celebrity Fit Club.) But for now, if you're losing faster while eating enough and you're staying on plan, then enjoy it!
