None of them are IF unless you sub out the SA's for Splenda, which I believe you can do, on a 1:1 ratio if you omit the nut crust. I am going to play with this theory today.

I seriously wish I could stay at each of your houses for a week of dinners! This food looks so delicious I'd eat it if I weren't doing low carb! You guys could get together and start a Low Carb Friends cookbook! I'd buy it! lol.

Yummy omelette
Fry up some diced bacon and diced green pepper in olive oil, remove from pan then make omelette as follows - Omelette 3 eggs, 1 tbsp cream, salt & pepper. Grease pan with a knob of butter When it's half cooked, sprinkle with the bacon & green pepper then add some diced avocado and a handful of grated mozzarella & cheddar cheese, finish off in pre-heated oven till cooked, splash some tabasco sauce over it and enjoy! Salmon Melt In a bowl, combine 1 x tin of salmon with mayonnaise & hot mustard (to taste) Fill a low-carb wrap (I use Empower brand, 3g carb) with the mixture, roll up, smear with a low-carb tomato sauce (I used Empower sweet and sour), sprinkle with cheddar, mozzarella & spring onions then bake till the cheese has melted in a pre-heated oven. Top with sour cream - enjoy! (I completely improvised this when I'd forgotten to defrost meat and it was yummy)

That looks yummy but I didn't even have 1/4 of the ingredients for it, I'm making chocolate cheesecake instead, it's in the oven now and I'll post pics when its ready (if I don't scoff it all first!)

That's the Splenda cheesecake up there. I have a big bag of splenda I need to use up, so it may as well be for cheesecakes. lol Yours sounds great, too! <3

I'm losing consistently. I just eat when hungry and stop when satisfied. The sugar alcohols cause me no issues. It's literally having my (cheese)cake and eating it, too! Of course, when you're a foodie and recipe tester, you might eat cheese cake for more meals than you had originally anticipated...

Actually now I think of it, the mille feulles are probably not particularly low carb because of the won ton wrappers

Thanks for responding Cleo.
I guess my question got lost in all the food. I was just wondering if people were losing weight. I have a hard time eating too much if I indulge in LC goodies. My problem though. Thanks. |

It can be difficult, NoSugar, but I just remind myself the cheesecake will still be there the next time I'm hungry. There's no rush to enjoy all of it in a sitting for me anymore since it's not off limits. And if there are issues with portions, I'd just make a smaller recipe. My family loves the cheesecake, so it's just not around for very long. Pouring it into the cupcake liners = smaller portions and ones that can be frozen, too.
