Reached my goal weight, but......

I am so thankful that I reached my weight loss goal after losing 20 pounds and going from 137 pounds to 117 pounds. However, I still have a problem losing more weight from my stomach. I have had three kids and even though I am not overweight I still think I have a big stomach. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to target weight loss in a specific area or how to flatten your stomach area without losing weight everywhere else?

What kind of excercise plan are you on? Diet alone won't target the trouble spots.

i usually just do situps everyday. I will occasionally do some type of aerobics (maybe once every three weeks), but I find that I am pretty active playing with my kids.

Too true. Gotta have 'em both.

Situps suck.

Have you thought about trying some excercise that combines cardio and ab workouts, like dance or tae bo?

This is what I'm battling with as well. I had 2 c-sections and some muscle separation below the navel while pregnant so my abs don't match the rest of me...well except for my thighs.

I would add ab vacuums to your routine. They work very well, and quickly, to make the ab area "smaller." Crunches do not work those deeper ab muscles. If you do a vacuum, you'll notice that you're activating muscles differently than just crunches will do. You can google ab vacuum and you'll find techniques. I used vacuums after each of my babies, and no one could tell I'd even been pregnant a few days later.

Have you thought of liposuction? I had it done for my lower ab, I too had 2 c-sections and the muscles don't ever get back to what they used to be after they cut them.
Good luck!
