Help with EV Coconut Oil
I bought some yesterday. Had it in a cup of hot tea last night, realized this morning that the side of the contained said it was supposed to be refrigerated after opening. I just went to make another mug of tea and the EVCO is ROCK SOLID! After about 10 minutes of shaving off layers, I was able to put it in the tea and it dissolved, but I have no clue how much I used.
Is this normal? |

Yes, depending how cool your home is, it can either be solid or liquid. I keep mine on the counter in my kitchen. This time of year, it's liquid, in winter it's solid. I've never ever refrigerated mine!

Yes, it will be solid above 75 F. And the brands I buy, Tropical Traditions and Nutiva, both say refrigeration isn't necessary. It's antimicrobial, like vinegar, so nothing would grow on it, and it will last a year opened at room temp. Not that it ever lasts that long around here!
