since you just posted in another topic you just got your thyroid tested at the doc maybe you should wait to see what your blood work shows.
The flu like symptoms can be from many things some not even related to Atkins induction. I'm sure if you told your doc about all your issues they did a full blood count and chem panel and you should have those results soon to help you feel better.

You could plug your foods vits and supplements into a food tracker program like fitday.com and see if you were defieicnt in any of them in the reports section before you follow advice folk are sure to give you to cure your "flu"

Once you have your thyroid results check out the topic in the health section about thyroid numbers. Lots of great info in there from nonstickpam

Yeah, you won't really know if you are hypo unless you have a blood test...

good luck!

I was diagnosed four years ago, was on the meds for a couple of years then didn't refill my prescription until about 6 months ago (don't know why I dropped it).

Depression, dry skin, weight issues, trouble concentrating and always being tired were the worst for me. They put me back on my same dose when I went back and then I went back on low-carb again. I think for me the meds and low carb are the right combination.

If your test comes back low you'll have to retest every few months until they get you to the right levels. Anyone else in your family have thyroid issues? That has an impact too.
