?? Net Carbs O for Kraut
Hi all,
I am planning to have kielbasa and sauerkraut for supper tonight. When I bought the sauerkraut it said carbs-1 Dietary Fiber-1, so does this mean that it is actually 0 grams? And if so is this because it is fermented? Just curioius because I do the kraut! |

check the serving size of that product and where it is made. cabbage is pretty low carb to begin with but manufactures can legallly round down. my stuff says it is about 1.5-2 net carbs a cup

Yes, double check where it's made. If it's imported from Europe the fibre may already be netted. That caught me out when I first started, not realising our labels over here are different from US ones. The first time I deducted fibre and got a negative number I got a clue something funny was going on.
